A couple weeks ago we went for a hike at Feather Falls. It had always been a place I wanted to see but honestly had no idea what I was in for, when I set out on this little adventure.
I was ill prepared and the hike was a struggle and a battle for me, I’ve learned a lot of lessons from this day and can say I’m much more prepared for it the next time.
It was a beautiful hike and I know when I’m physically stronger I’ll enjoy it the next go round…
Adventures await us if we only take the opportunities to see them and challenge ourselves to face them, be brave and try new things and appreciate the moments within them 🔥
Just a few of the incredible roads I’ve been on over the past month… exploring wide open spaces and endlessly fascinating skies. You never know where the road less traveled might take you… next time, take a chance and see what adventure it might lead you to.

I had a visitor…
I have always been fascinated by dragonflies. And this little beauty paid me a visit. I was able to get within inches and it felt like we were communicating somehow… both staring into the other’s eyes… she taking me in and me taking her in. A meeting of creatures, I thought. A little beauty and grace and wonder to start my weekend.
It takes nothing to join the crowd-
It takes everything to stand alone

I will not be another flower,
picked for my beauty and left to die.
I will be wild,
difficult to find,
and impossible to forget…

Because in the end you won’t remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing the lawn, climb that goddamn mountain! ~Jack Kerouac
I spent Memorial weekend immersed in nature, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and rejecting all the negative words in my head like “I can’t” or “I’m afraid”. Any time a negative thought popped up, I replaced it with, “yes, you can… you’ve been through scarier things than this… you CAN do it”. And I did. And it felt amazing! The best memories are not the easy everyday moments but the ones where you did something that terrified you… and then you wanted to do it again and again.
